His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar 'Ali Saifuddien Sa'adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam, attended a Kesyukuran Ceremony in conjunction with Their Majesties' Diamond Wedding Anniversary organised by State Dignitaries. The ceremony was held on 18th August afternoon at the Royal Berkshire, Tarindak D'Polo, Jerudong. Also in attendance were members of the Royal Family. The Royal Wedding Ceremony between His Majesty and Her Majesty took place on the 29th of July 1965, in which this year marks the Diamond Wedding Anniversary of Their Majesties. The arrival of Their Majesties was greeted by the Co-Chairs of the Kesyukuran ceremony Committee, namely: Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Indera Setia Diraja Sahibul Karib Pengiran Anak Haji Idris bin Pengiran Maharaja Lela Pengiran Muda Abdul Kahar, Chief of Adat Istiadat Negara; Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin Bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Retired Major General Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohammad Isham bin Haji Jaafar, Minister of Health; Yang Berhormat Dato Seri Setia Doctor Awang Haji Mohd Amin Liew bin Abdullah, Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Finance and Economy; Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Seri Maharaja Dato Paduka Seri Setia Dr. Ustaz Haji Awang Abdul Aziz bin Juned, State Mufti; and Dato Seri Paduka Awang Mohammed Riza bin Dato Paduka Haji Mohammed Yunos, Deputy Minister at the Prime Minister's Office; as well as their respective spouses.
The recital of Doa Kesyukuran was led by the State Mufti.
In his welcoming address, the Minister at the Prime Minister's Office and Second Minister of Defence extended deepest congratulations and best wishes in conjunction with Their Majesties' Diamond Wedding Anniversary.
A special talk titled 'Jubli Intan Perkahwinan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Raja Isteri: Satu Kurnia Nikmat Allah Subhanahu Wata'ala', was delivered by the State Mufti.
The ceremony was enlivened with Nasyid performances by students from the Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Tahfiz Al-Quran Institute.
His Majesty and Her Majesty Duli Raja Isteri received junjung ziarah from the State Dignitaries present, to express their congratulations to Their Majesties in conjunction with commemorating this important event.
